By on February 20, 2019

Depending on the climate you live in, how much you use your heat pump, and whether you do regular maintenance on it, your heat pump’s lifespan will vary. If you are having troubles with your heat pump, it can be difficult to know when to replace it or when it simply needs repairs. Only a trained professional can make that decision, but you can look out for some signs so you know when to call Evolved Mechanical.

Signs That Your Heat Pump Is Not Working Properly:

  1. Unit is blowing hot or cold air that is inconsistent with temperature settings
  2. Diminished air flow
  3. Strange noises or smells
  4. Leaking or excess moisture
  5. Short cycling
  6. Higher energy bills
  7. Frequent repairs are needed
