According to U.S. Department of Energy, you should consider replacing your boiler if it’s more than 15 years old. But if you’re smart, you won’t just pay attention to your boiler’s age but also other signs that you need to replace it.

 

Other signs that it’s time to replace your boiler include:

  • Your boiler needs frequent repairs
  • Your fuel bills are higher than they used to be
  • You see yellow flames and black soot
  • Leaks in the boiler
