Here are several simple things you can do before making a service call:

  • Check disconnect switch. Make sure that circuit breakers are ON or that fuses have not blown.
  • Check for sufficient airflow. Make sure air filters are clean.
  • Check the settings on your thermostat (remote control).  Make sure the temperature control selector is set below room temperature and the SYSTEM is on the COOL or AUTO mode.
  • Check if thermostat (remote control) batteries are in good condition. Otherwise replace with fresh batteries.
