Air conditioners require regular maintenance to keep them working at top performance levels. Some of the maintenance you or your HVAC tech should be doing on a regular basis is:
- Replace or clean air filters
- Check and clean your evaporator coil
- Keep outdoor condenser units free of dirt and debris
- Comb bent coil fins back into position
- Unclog condensate drain channels
- Make sure window seals are tight
- Check refrigerant levels
- Seal any duct leakage
- Inspect electrical system
- Check thermostat accuracy
